Yes, I'm making cookies again. They make great gifts, you know. And I can make lots so everyone can enjoy.

Yesterday I made maple cookies with maple icing, recipe from a magazine. I used over a cup of maple syrup. That's a lot. They are delicious. The recipe also makes about a billion. I make very small cookies though, so a. there are lots of them and b. they are easy to grab one or two on the way by. These are important considerations when bringing things into a busy work environment.

I expected the ones I gave to work to last about a day, like most of the recipes I've made. Nope. These ones lasted about three hours. Good thing I made a ton, I'm just refilling my cookie platter and bringing it in again tonight.

I was also tickled that one of my coworkers said I make the best cookies ever, partly because I don't make "normal" flavors. The observant will also note that I never make the same one twice. There's thousands of recipes out there; I see no reason why I should restrict myself to the same tired old conventions. Chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, peanut butter. Pssh. Everyone makes those. Boring.

I will probably make more cookies on Thursday, I just haven't settled on a recipe quite yet.
