Vote early, vote often...wait, that's not right...

Rate this Entry
Yay! We can celebrate the end of robocalls and stacks of junk mail. For a few years anyway.

Oh, and I guess we can go vote too. Just because.

On a more serious note, everyone should be voting today. Unless your state is super awesome and lets you vote early, in which case you probably should have voted already. I live in a swing state (not that kind of swing, alas), which makes it even more critical. But no one should be shirking their civic duty. If you do, you forfeit the right to complain about anything government related. Which is pretty much everything, when you think about it. So go vote!

And for all you guys out there going waah, my vote won't make a difference, people like you are a big part of the reason we're in this damn mess to begin with. No, your ballot won't be THE deciding vote (are you really that naive?), but it's all about the signal boosting. You're either voting for someone, against someone or if you're really lucky, you can do both at the same time, which is what I'm doing.

Voted and proud of it. First time, too.

They wouldn't let me vote. :'( I would have totally done it.

Yay democracy though. Even if the two party system is terrible, and there's a fair chance that the popular vote may not dictate the president.

Better than nothing, right? At least it's a chance to have your say.

I don't register with either party but I do seem to side mostly with Democrats, seeing as third party candidates don't have a snowball's chance. They're at least getting some of the equality things right these days.

Of course it's better than nothing, even if both candidates are terrible (they're not terrible, but not great) you are still under obligation to vote for the candidate least likely to muck it up.

I don't want the Republicans to get in. I'm not even American, and I still don't want that for your country.

I don't either lol. Close race so far though. I am glad to learn that my state went to Obama. Yay!
