I recently acquired this game as an early present, not only did I get the game, but I ended up with the collectors edition with the nice art book and a soundtrack cd that comes with 10 songs! Let me fill you in on this game whether or not you have played it.

The story is written by the person who wrote the story for Chrono Trigger. Artwork is done by the Mana art director. Character art has been done by the Romancing Saga art team, and the soundtrack is done by the composer for FFXIII.

First of all, anyone SaGa fans around here? this game basically uses Romancing SaGa/SaGa Frontier/Unlimited SaGa's battle system where you have formations, stat building, and weapon skills. It also has individual character stories with 7 different character which was something else that the SaGa games featured.

Now for a summary of the story intro: The game introduces you the mystery continent of Avalon, an ancient continent lost in time that suddenly reappears, 7 different characters in this game have their reason for exploring this mysterious continent and when they arrive they do not remember why they are there. The continent hold secrets to what has been left behind and it is up to the chosen ones to figure out the mystery behind Avalon!

And the final thing to comment on is the exploration. The game opens up as you progress, the cool part about the exploration is that, similar to FFIV 3D, you have a map you get to fill out. Also, when you explore, there are different exits to discover, when you discover them, you get to explore further parts of the area that you are in. As you're exploring the continent, objects pop up bastion style, so if you've played bastion before, this will look familiar to you.

One tip I must give you while playing is you need to save a lot, especially when things get dangerous and I'll tell you why. There are times you might walk into an event where a boss appears while exploring and you are forced to fight that boss monster. If you haven't saved at this point, you may end up losing your progress so it's highly recommended you save before you explore new areas in the game.

My thought's on The Legend of Legacy - This game is great! It is the stuff of dreams as far as rpgs go. The battle system is really well done, the music is good, I enjoy the story, and I like the character development. If you are into rpgs and have a 2DS, 3DS, or New 3DS, I recommend this game. I also recommend it if you like the SaGa games. If you'd like to try it before buying it, there is a free demo on the Nintendo eShop.

I haven't made a blog post in a really long time, how's it going everyone! Tonight I'm going to fill you in on the most recent event of my life which is going to Disney in the Orlando area. My friend bought season tickets which involves a primary pass and guest passes. My friend is obviously the primary pass holder and I have the guest pass.

Moving on, starting wednesday last week, my friend and I went to a winter themed mini-golf course in the disney area which required the pass, however, he forgot his gateway pass (a gateway pass is required to activate the passes that he bought) but the guy running the mini-golf place at the time allowed us entry anyway and we got to play (yay!). Halfway through the game, it rained really hard, luckily for us, we were to the point where the rest of the course was indoors. Because my friend didn't have his gateway pass on him, we couldn't do the other parks we were originally planning to go to, so we ended up just going to downtown disney.

Sunday afternoon, we went to Disney Quest. For those of you who don't know what Disney Quest is, it's an indoor place which has a bunch of arcade games you get to play for free, and there are some rides, virtual reality experiences, and there is an art studio as well as a food court (Disney is planning to remodel it for some reason unfortunately). But anyway, we went in did the virtual aladdin ride where we have to find the genie in time in order to stop jafar and we also played a bunch of arcade games.

There is this really cool tabletop one which has several light bars, and has buttons below each bar. It's like a combination of pong and simon. The idea of the game is you choose a difficulty of a game, and a song, and then the lights will come on in the bar and will go towards the person. You have to hit the button that the light is on that is going towards you, and it will bounce to the other person and they have to hit the button before it hits their side. Depending of the difficulty of the game, you will have more lights to deal with, hard mode makes you play with all light bars and you have to constantly reflect them to the other person which makes for an intense war between you and your buddy.

As for the arcade games, i did manage to break some top scores (or 5) which was a nice experience. Moving on to earlier today, my friend and I went to Hollywood Studios (formerly MGM Studios) and we went to the Path of the Jedi experience. That area is just a theater where they tell you about the history of the lightsaber and show you stuff from the 6 existing films and a trailer of the upcoming film. Next, we rode the Star Tours ride. They have recently revised it to reflect a place from the force awakens and it still has other planet systems you visit and your mission (I ended up being the rebel spy darth vader selected to be his target.)

Afterwards, we went to another star wars place where it was basically a museum full of star wars based stuff: Figures, artwork, merchandise, a gaming hall showing the disney infinity star wars stuff, actor autographed pictures, costumes, etc.

After we were done with that, it was time to leave the park and go to Epcot. We were originally planning to go to Magic Kingdom, but we heard it was blocked off, so we decided to go to Epcot instead. We noticed a lot of christmasy decorations when we have arrived. The first thing we did when we got there was eat at the china area, my friend and I got the beef noodle bowl which was really good. We spent most of the time walking around seeing things, we also went out of the park towards the disney boardwalk which was, seemingly, the only place we could get milkshakes.

We returned to the Epcot park and we had to use our passes to re-enter the park. We continued to walk around and check out the different areas of the park and we also went to see a fireworks show which started near the time of the park closing. That's about everything I've done disney wise last wednesday, sunday, and today.

I hope you enjoyed reading about my disney experiences!;7

Where I stand in all this, I am basically trying out the business, a friend of mine who works there convinced the owner to allow me to come in and help out. The owner is currently out for a week so its just him and I. Its been pretty crazy but I'm managing to stay on top of things.

My car is currently in a repair shop right now because the night of my first day of job training, I JUST got out for the evening around closing and I only made it several week away form the business before I rear-ended someone. I'm ok, so is the person. The back of the person's minivan is only scratched up, but my hood got dented up and the radiator got slightly twisted so now I have to rely on my mom to take me to work in the meantime.

That's about the latest for me.

The 16th was a decent day for me, volunteered at my former school. A lady came to the help desk later after getting her bill for her computer repair, and she had a problem with the internet browser having a hidden address bar. I fixed that for her and not much happened during my time at the school

(if you want to skip my story and get to the christmas part, feel free to do so. It will be at the bottom.)

After school I had my doctor appointment and that went nicely as well, had different therapy exercises and they went by pretty quickly. When I was done with everything at the office, I went out of the town I was in for my appointment (my doctor's office is located out of town) and headed back home.

On my way back in my town, I accidentally took a wrong turn after getting to one of the exits I needed to get off at and I got a little lost (whoops). Long story short I made it back.

Later, my mom called and asked me to pick up chicken tenders from our local grocery store. I went in and waited in line to order some for the family. On my way in line, I had the sudden urge to cause a scene by falling on the floor and yell "OWW, MY CARTILIDGE!" just for my amusement. I wasn't angry at anyone or being impatient, I just wanted to do something silly, however I resisted the urge to do so. I was laughing about the thought afterwards, I don't know why I found it so amusing but it was somehow making my night.

Fast forward to later that evening, my parents, sister, brother-in-law, nephews, niece, and I gathered around to open presents. Now the reason I called this an unexpected 1st Christmas is because I had no idea we were opening gifts that night, I thought we were going to wait until we were out of state to do Christmas #1 and Christmas #2.

I unwrapped the first present and recieved a zelda themed shirt which depicts a picture of links head, but within his head is a picture of The Lost Woods and Link, himself, standing before The Master Sword. I dub the shirt Linkception. Along with that gift, I also recieved Super Mario 3D World and it is actually really fun. The last gifts I got were in a bundle package and they were Romancing SaGa for PS2, and Tales of Xillia for PS3. Now I did NOT expect to get these last two games at all, especially the former one. I had many other items on my amazon wish list, but my parents have chosen those two over everything else I had prioritized which is a good, unexpected surprise.

In summary, the best gifts I recieved , in my opinion, are the Zelda shirt and the Romancing SaGa game. Don't get me wrong, I was happy to get all the other stuff, but those 2 took the top.

Tonight, I'm going to do something unique, I will be writing in this blog, reviewing a game I am just getting into. The game I will be going over is an Action RPG called Xak III, the system I will be reviewing it for is the Turbografx CD (A.K.A PC Engine CD).

Xak III is the final trilogy to a series called Xak (if the title wasn't obvious enough). The entire Xak trilogy was only released in Japan but they have been fan translated. Xak III stars a male protagonist by the name of Latok/Ratok who is a Duel Knight. A Duel Knight is, from my understanding, a knight who serves under the Kingdom of Duel. In the past two games, Latok has successfully defeated two demon rulers and only one remains.

In the world of the Xak series, the world has been split into three different sections: The fairy world, the demon world, and the human world. The world was split to protect the races from the threat of the demons. Coming back to Xak III, Latok is asked to join a knight and his companions into battle to protect a kingdom that is in trouble called the Farland Kingdom.

Unfortunately for them, they are too late, just about all the soldiers and servants have been wiped out. Latok and his team storm the castle killing off the demons that roam the place. When Latok reaches the throne room, he encounters the demon general, Zoma Dizae, who has killed the King and his daughter. Latok faces off with this beast and wins the fight after a long struggle.

Latok picks up some words from the dying general after the fight and returns to the camp site to learn what the words have meant and to put a stop the demon leader. The quest begins from that point, gameplay is top-down, hack-and-slash like the zelda games and you get characters in your party. Like every rpg, there is treasure hidden throughout the game to find, you buy items, weapons, and new armor as you progress to different towns and kingdoms throughout the game.

What makes this game really neat is this game has cutscenes with voice overs which hold up really well even for today. Another amazing thing about this 16-bit cd game is that the game sprites are well animated. You see people flip, fall to their knees, bend over. Given this might have been done in other 16-bit games, but this game made it feel pretty realistic for its time.

Last thing I want to cover is the soundtrack. The music is really good, each track is nice to listen to (some of them are meh though). Other than the not-so-good tracks, most of it are pretty good and memorable.

Overall, I think this game is worth checking out, there is a Japanese import on ebay, amazon, and other online stores that offer Turbo CD games. If you can understand Japanese you're good to go, if not, there is a translation patch around if you google it. There are even youtube LPs if you rather watch someone play it through, I hope you enjoyed my Xak III review!

Since then I've been job hunting off and on, I did get called in for an interview with something unrelated. I'm going that route because I haven't gotten any positive results with the related field I'm pursuing. I'm not abandoning the computer field or anything, I'm just trying to get out there and save up so I can move out and rent an apartment somewhere.

I got interviewed with a rep from chick-fil-a which is a nice start for me. Reason I chose that place because 1. I am interested in working there. 2. I know someone who helps runs the store and we are good friends.

I have two weeks before I find out if I get the job or not, if they even call me. Other than that I've been working out, watching movies, gaming, listening to music, and trying to get out with friends.

Writing to express my hatred for a certain KH title by the name of Chain of Memories. This game hit the Game Boy Advance back in 2004. I feel it had ruined the potential the series could of had (well until Square learned their lesson with KHII, BBS, Re: Coded, DDS, and the upcoming KHIII) but what I mean to say, they could have been much better than what they are now, starting with KH II if it weren't for this game's existance at all. Let me tell you why I think this game is the worst of the series.

The game starts out with Sora and the crew chasing after pluto after the events of the first Kingdom Hearts when Sora asked pluto if he knew were Riku and King Mickey were. After a long run, they are asleep in the field and a cloaked figure appears before sora and he quickly wakes up and chases after it a bit. He noticed a fork in the path and the cloaked figure disappeared towards the path towards the right. Sora, Donald, and Goofy end up at this castle (which is really out of place imo) by the name of Castle Oblivion. This is where the storyline goes downhill.

Upon entering this ridiculous castle the trio are greeted by the same cloaked figure that Sora woke up to earlier. The trio are then getting ready to attack him and donald goes to cast some spells and eventually finds he cannot cast anything. The hooded person then explains to them that as soon as they entered the castle they have forgotten every ability they know and their other memories have also been erased. Eventually he beckons sora to the next room to train him with new abilites and learns that his friends won't be able to join him in their current forms but as summon cards.

The hooded man then trains sora in this horrendous battle system known as the card based system where sora has a starting deck and he must choose up to 3 cards to attack. If his number is lower or equal to the enemy's card his attacks will be canceled. This is one of my major pet peeves to the game. You DON'T add a card based system to an action game, let alone an action rpg. If this was a turn-based game i'd let it slide but this is far from ok. Its like adding a card based system to a zelda game, don't interfere with the the action of the player performing a hack and slash attacks against the enemy. If you want it to be interesting, beef up the enemy AI and give them unique moves.

Continuing on, after sora masters the basic training the hooded man gives him a world card. To explain how this works, basically, you get to a door, use a card based on the worlds you get and you get transported into the worlds. Just about all the worlds in the game are from KH1 so it's like re-experiencing KH 1 but in a more painful experience. You'll come to learn in each world that the disney character's had their memories stolen as well. You work your way through each world by using a card you obtain to get to the next room, there are at least 3 events in each world if I remember correctly followed by a boss fight. After the fight you get a boss card.

In between each world (ascending the castle) there will be an event where sora, donald, and goofy talk to each other, however, little do they realize that as they keep going up the floors of castle oblivion, they forget more and more of their memories (although at a future point in the game wouldn't they consider leaving if they end up forgetting why they're in the castle in the first place? :P). You come to learn that Sora and co. are having fake memories implanted into them by a person named namine. This game also introduces you to the Organization XIII (not all of them I think). Along the way you'll fight some of them and you will also encounter a fake Riku. Riku is one of the people to tell Sora that he is remembering things that he shouldn't saying his mind is like a train wreck.

Near the end of the game Sora and co. visit a world that will eventually be visited psychically by them in KH II. Also, the hooded figure in the game is eventually revealed to be one of the organization members as well and he is the final enemy of the game. Sora and co. fight off against him and then at the end of the game, Sora eventually meets namine who apologizes for messing with his mind scattering his memories replacing them with new ones as she was forced to in the first place.

The last thing namine explains to them is that in order for Sora, Donald, and Goofy's memories to be restored, they had to be asleep in 3 separate chamber and just before sora went into a deep sleep he remembered all his friends and all his friends from other worlds remembered him. The best part about this game is that it didn't happen considering what happened in the end, its like they didn't go on this pointless adventure in the first place. There is a playthrough where you can play as riku and apparently he enters castle oblivion as well and he's on a journey to get rid of his darkside.

So that's why I hated chain of memories. It took KH's plot in a bad direction, the whole playthrough was meaningless, and the battle system was an entire mess. Nothing made sense, new characters were introduced at the wrong time. Even putting riku's story in there adds to the confusion. I STILL don't really understand what went on with this game other than everyone's memories were gone and then tampered with. KH II would have been MUCH better without this game, KH II was good but not as good as it could have been because of where CoM lead it, if anything's to blame, it's Chain of Memories!

I also walked around Monterey and I have been to San Francisco. In summary, I loved the trip and every part of it. I kinda want to live in Cali now, any of you Californians are welcome to kidnap me and bring me over there lol.

Anyways, when I turned it off and got ready for bed, I said to myself: "Now that I beat The Lost Levels, I know I can finish my class." And sure enough today, my instructor was updating the progress chart and apparently I have done more than I have expected so now that I have everything checked off in the progress chart, I am now officially marked for completion and set for graduation (that chart represents where we are in the program btw).

Now that I am done, my program has an extra option where I can return as a volunteer after the remains of this current semester and I can go out on computer related jobs around the job (why not?). I will also start working on my certifications ASAP now that I have school stuff out of the way, and I will also be looking into small jobs (quick money makers) I can take just for starting out and work my way from there.

Welp, I need to end this blog and go with my mom to pick up my dad from the airport.

I'm slow with these post updates, so i'll make it brief. I had a pretty good thanksgiving, played Wii U with the nephews (more on the Wii U in a bit) had the thanksgiving feast. Couldn't eat much but I had enough to be satisfied I suppose. I've also been doing my best to keep up with things at school which is going fine and i also did some studying over my thanksgiving day off.

Now for the Wii U thing. I was on my way home, decided to stop by wal-mart to buy one of those, my dad just so happens to call at the time I was on my way back from the store, told him about buying the console and he told me that he suggested I take it back right away and there was a reason for that. I thought I was in trouble, but it wasn't the case *phew* lol. I had a feeling long befor that something was up. Eventually I had dinner and headed back home, went to my room to put my stuff away, and there it was, the Wii U (deluxe edition) sitting on my bed. My dad bought it in recognition of how well I'm doing in my classes and how well I'm demonstrating what I can do. That was the other major event in my life. I really enjoy the Wii U, nifty little thing, I can even take it on the go, its like a vita but you get to lug a game console along with you if you wanted the portability, all you really need are the console, the ac plug, games, and the gamepad you play the games on. Most games support gamepad only play :).

Other than that not too much else going on, I have watched a few episodes of star wars, I love that movie! I also am preparing for a network+ test coming up and at the same time goofing around. Anyways that is all... except for one other thing This is a the coolest thing i've ever seen! check it out!

Today, my parents had decided to take their grandson out for his birthday (his birthday is actually next week) due to the fact that most everyone else was sick and my nephew didn't want to have his birthday celebration canceled. My parents invited me to come along, despite my having a congestion, I decided to go with them. The first thing we did was to go see Wreck-it Ralph, which turned out to be a pretty good movie and had plenty of funny parts and a lot of silly puns and references.

After the movie, my parents asked their grandson where he would like to go eat. Unfortunately for me, he choose a place that wasn't made to be a sit down area (domino's) and my mom called in ahead to order a box of the works (supreme) and we went to stop at a grocery store to buy drinks. We stopped at the closest park to have a picnic. After we finished eating, my nephew decided to head towards the playground area. Unfortunately for me again, my parents asked me to keep an eye on him.

Later on, my mom gave her grandson her present to him and he enjoyed it. Its this ball puzzle thing that has separate tracks and you have to move the magnetic ball down the track without making it fall. He also got some birthday money. When we returned to the car, I gave him my present which was the complete first volume of Darkwing Duck (lucky guy).

Next place we went to is the dunkin donuts for his choice of dessert, we chilled there and ate our donuts and then we returned to his house talked with the parents some and then headed home with just my parents. I think I survived by the looks of it, I enjoyed being around my nephew, only it was a bit of a challenge being congested and all.

Time to update this blog and share whats been going on. This month had some interesting events in store for me. Here's what has been going on.

First off, I hung around in a park called Munn Park one evening and enjoyed the scenery for a bit. Later on I decided to have dinner at a restaurant called the Chop Shop. Ordered a Chopper JR burger and got a side of tater-tots. I'm texting my friend while i was out and about and he offered to swing by my place later and i took him up on his offer. I finished eating and just as I went to leave the room I was in to go back to the main part of the restaurant, I happened to notice my instructor from CST there with his wife and he was talking to one of his former students. He noticed me as I was coming out and I went to say hi to him and met his wife and his former student and the wife of the student. We sat and talked for awhile until all of us had to leave. I later headed home before the time my friend was supposed to arrive. When he arrived, we gamed for a bit and I also modded his wii for emulators and games (i'm such a nice, generous fellow). We hung out until 1:00 AM and he decided to head out and leave which was a good idea since it was really late and I headed to bed myself.

Next big thing that happened - There was an event in a central downtown area in my city called a Zombiefest. The zombiefest is basically a huge horror festival and it attracted very many people (it was PACKED). I spent the whole time wandering around the downtown area to see what there is to see. I saw people, here and there, dressed up in costume, a lot of them were generic zombie looking costumes with white face paint and others were dressed up in soldier gear. There was one person who was wearing a rather unique costume. This lady was dressed up as princess peach with a plunger through her stomach. It was quite a interesting costume out there. i later got a drink at the coffee shop there and bought a cupcake from the concession stands set up in the park. The last thing I did was chill in the dance area in the zombiefest and listened to the music playing and danced a bit. That was all that I've experienced there.

Other stuff - I recently decided to install wubi which is a windows installer for ubuntu linux that allows you to run ubuntu as a separate boot without having to get the entire iso and its mainly for testing out. I'm a linux fan myself and I decided to get it because I'm understanding linux better especially now that i'm going through a network course in my tech school.

I've also been playing the heck out of Final Fantasy IX on my PS3 making nice progress. I also got it on the emulator on my lab desk at school to play there :).

I've been meeting people adding them on places like FB and getting to know them a little bit. I'm also getting to know people at the church i've been visiting and I recently been attending the bible studies being hosted on sunday nights. The group hosting the studies are having us watch a series called Does God Exist and its all in depth about the creation of the universe and the different ideas and theologies that people have on the creation of the world. It is really mind boggling and very outside of the box.

Thats about it on my part, except for one more thing, I was in charge of holding the fort for a few weeks which went fine, survived I suppose. Ok, now I'm done. Hope you enjoyed this update.
