the battle system makes the game worth playing, its excellent. The dressphere system is great. Never really found a need to utilize garment grids though, but the option is always there. I liked getting their ultimate dresspheres maxed out and using them, they were really powerful. Theres also a lot of fun to be had out in the al bhed desert and from memory, a few optional bosses as well. A wickedly freaky boss in the al bhed desert which you might see if you spend enough time there. One of the biggest optional quests (with bosses) is diving into the bevelle depths. I never actually completed it , but I got to floor 80 I think. Anyway, I'm actually holding off on replaying both X and X-2 as im hoping for some sort of ps vita/psn release. Id love to be able to play them on my vita. That goes for ff12 as well.
One of the main reasons I'd like to start X-2 all over is that I've never actually completed it. Every time I make some progress either I lose the file somehow or it's saved over by someone else.
Martin, I never said it was bad! "Campy" and "bad" are not always synonymous. I actually *gasp* like X-2. I just don't have that itch to play it on a regular basis like I do with VI or X or T.
I agree that it's not perfect, but I just don't think it deserves the bad rap it gets to be brutal. Once you get past the first chapter, it becomes a lot more serious and less OMG YUNA IS SINGING!
Yeah it can be nice to have a simplified Job System, like not having to worry about the drawbacks of switching from a mage to a warrior. But some of the dialogue and cut scenes just make me cringe.
The Dresssphere system in that game is the only truly good part. The combat system was really awesome. It's a shame the rest of it was just so damned campy.
Congratulations! And Valkyria Chronicles II is fantastic.
That I will. Kudos on that Pokemon Black 2 (I is envious) U.u
First of all, congrats for doing well on uni, I know how hard it can be sometimes, and I really do hope you get that job. As for PsP, even though you lean more towards RPGs I sugest you check out Peace Walker, by far the best game I played on PsP.
Haha thanks guys, it's about time I become a bit more up to date with gaming. I think a ps3 may be on the cards too at some point now that A. my ps2 is dead and B. I might have a job soon
The PSP is quite a fun console, with LOADS of RPG games. If you need any recommendations from my small collection (mostly RPG, few puzzle, few action), hit me up a VM.
Awesome! PSP rocks! Good luck with applying for that job!
The PSP has a TON of great RPG content on it though, so you will definitely find things worth playing! And, as it's region-free, if you can't find something that was released internationally, search the States!
Yeah i was always told that hiding in a bath was a good way to survive a tornado because... well i'm not too sure why. We never got much in the way of severe weather in the Channel Islands, so tornado's (lol or anything else) were never an issue. It snowed once, mind you. And Alpha I guess it was more for other areas of NZ that aren't affected by the quakes. I only heard about it on Tuesday so I have no idea.
I totally forgot about this. I heard some people in class complaining because their Hall turned on the alarm at 9.26am, and it woke them up.
I remember having tornado drills when I was in elementary school. We had to get in the hallway and put a textbook over our heads. Thank goodness we never actually had a tornado hit our school. I dunno how effective that method would have been...
Congratulations on that A. I don't recall being in contact with people who get 'A's! Hurrah!
So it broke, ya? What's wrong wid it? I have brothers who specialize in fixing them. With any luck you can fix it yourself before the manual arrives. VM me, dude!
