I just watched the livestream a few minutes ago of Endeavour lifting into the sky for the last time. Not on a mission of course, as the fleet, well, what remains of it, are officially retired. It's heading for California, no doubt to spend the rest of its life as a museum exhibit or some other equally miserable fate. It makes me sad. But I also feel fortunate, as I actually witnessed a shuttle launch some years back. I do not remember which one it was but my brain wants to say Discovery. ...
and realize it's way more involved than you thought it would be? Yeah. The corollary to that being holy shit, I never realized just how massive this series really is now. Looks like that sidebar's going to be on the backburner, at least for now. That does seem to happen to me a lot, now that I think about it. It never looks like a lot of work until I actually start, well, working on it and then it turns into this enormous hydra-like virtual being. So ...
Aka, holy crap there's a lot to do this week. I'm trying to mitigate this issue at least a bit by front-loading my week. Hence why I haven't posted here yet. Unlike normal people, my weekends are Sunday and Monday, the two days I don't work. Yesterday was...wait, what did I do yesterday? Oh that's right, I did two homework assignments and the reading that went with that. And some work related to TFF, actually. But I'm not going to spoil that. So this is something I started doing recently. Originally I took bread baking up as a hobby but unfortunately, it does require more time than I have available, even if most of it is unattended. So I shifted my focus a little to something much faster: cookies! Once a week for the past three weeks I've picked a recipe, made up a batch and brought most of them into work.
